New Year, New Directions

Happy holidays, everyone! Mince pies and mulled wine all around!

The start of a new year is a time for change and renewal. What resolutions have you made?

My resolution is to spend more time on personal projects. For me, 2011 is a year to focus on fiction writing and editing and publishing. I let my writing slip down the priority list in 2010 and so I need to force myself to focus. This is going to be tough: I have the attention span of a five-year-old.

What does this mean for Ergofiction?

I love this ezine. I think we’ve done really well in 2010. Sure, we had a few bumps along the way, but overall it’s been a great year. We’ve had some insightful guest posts and articles, not to mention the fun search term challenges!

But in light of my resolutions, Ergo is going to undergo a few changes. Most notably, I’m officially passing the torch back to Jan.

I’ve hijacked the ‘zine for long enough, and it is time for new voices and directions. So if you’ve been thinking about joining the crew or having your say on Ergo, now’s the time! Either leave a comment below, or email ergofiction[at]gmail[dot]com to get in touch with Jan with your ideas and suggestions.

And never fear: I’m not disappearing entirely! I will likely pop up behind the scenes now and then to tinker away, and if you’re dying to get in touch with me you can always find me at amharte.com.

There may be a few hiccups in the transition, so please bear with us.

In the meanwhile, happy holidays everyone. Mmmm… mince pies.

Sorry to see you go, but very glad to hear you will be focussing on your writing.

While this is a sad day for ErgoFiction, I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you for making this ezine so great. You do amazing stuff, and are generally wonderful, and also brilliant. And smart. And… and nice. Very nice. Saint-like, really. The greatest human being to ever walk the Earth.

God bless you, O fantastic one. And godspeed. Amen.

NOW will you delete the photos? I’ve done everything you asked!

    NO! Muahahaha….

Fine, but at least photoshop out the sheep?

  • Allan T Michaels

Thanks for all your hard work Anna!

There weren’t any sheep in the photo I saw, but WOW that moose!

    I’m speechless …..

I’m wobbling away on the fence here, as it is sad to hear of less involvement with Ergo, but exciting to know that as a result we will get to read more of your great fiction.

    *sniff, giggle*

Looking forward to what Jan and the Ergo crew will have going on in 2011, and to more Harte(y) fiction. ;oP
