Latest reviews
Gender-changing Take a Lemon by Russell Gold is reviewed by Web Fiction Guide Editor Linda Schoales who praises “the subtle, and not-subtle, differences between Marshall and Marsha’s life.”
Both Sarratum and Karmie recommend Shattered Remnants of a Dream by Dan Luffey for “the handful of incredibly detailed yet mysterious characters”.
“Written in the style of a soap opera with the reader held captive by dynamic dialogue rather than descriptive passages,” Independence Day by Rebecca Spencer wins praise from Miladysa.
Refuge of Delayed Souls by Miladysa is recommended by Shutsumon for its “interesting premise and plot which definitely kept [her] reading.”
Shutsumon also praises The Antithesis by T.L. Whiteman, saying for “dark fantasy and horror fans it’s worth a look.”
Ctan, of Spots the Space Marine by M.C.A. Hogarth, says “it moves fast and the characters come across very vividly.”
Halfman by Jack is described as “well-written depression” by Capriox, who admires the story’s “excellent use of varied sentence length, unique and memorable descriptions, and other technical goodness.”
Despite not liking fantasy, randomhuman recommends Strong Heart by capriox bovidae, saying “the characterization is excellent, the environments colourful and well realized, and there is not a fantasy cliché in sight.”
Addergoole by Lyn Thorne-Alder is “a fascinating read,” says integral, adding, “the book is well paced, and the characters are believable within their situation.”
Lastly, capriox warns readers to set aside a couple hours for The Inventor by Julie Schroeder; the story is so gripping “you will end up reading the entire archives in one go.”
